COOKING TIME SAVERS

  • As soon as dinner cleanup is finished, set the table for the next night.

  • Set up your coffeepot the night before.

  • Invest in three separate, dishwasher-safe cutting boards (a red one for meats, a green one for vegetables, and a white one for breads, cheeses, etc.) to save on cleanup time and prevent cross-contamination.

  • Thaw small portions of frozen vegetables ahead of time in your refrigerator so they’re ready to be added to quick dinner omelets or frittatas, quesadillas, rice and grain side dishes, etc.

  • Have a routine where you have dinner at a nearby neighbors’ every other week – and vice versa. You’ll get to socialize, and not have to cook twice a month without the cost of eating out or ordering in.

  • Buy foods that have some of the preparation already built in. Buy Voila! It’s a complete meal in one bag
